With “Treasure Hunters” we wanted to make a movie about family values, emphasizing the importance of family and forgiveness. The main message is that nothing can be more important, nor superior than love in the family, being that the most precious treasure of all.

THE REAL TREASURE IS FAMILY AND FRIENDSHIP

Erik, a 12 year old boy, lonely and shy, but respected at school for his great waveboarding skills. His father owns a glass factory that is experiencing financial difficulties. Due to an accident caused by Erik, his father loses a lot of merchandise. Erik has some differences and misunderstandings with the Deik, a 17 year old kid, and his gang. Trying to run away from them Erik and his friends meet Nathan, a treasure hunter, who finds a map that accidentally ends up in his hands.

Andrea, Omar and Erik decide to go to Guanajuato to visit Erik’s uncle, ask him for the money Erik’s father needs to save his business and of course go in search of the treasure. Finally the children discover that the real treasure is not the gold, but the family and the friendship that emerged among the three of them.
